On the fringes of the largest national park in Hungary people have lived in caves for hundreds if not thousands of years. For over a century many of the caves were occupied by Gypsies.

Today, few occupants remain as the local governments aim is to turn the caves into workshops for business and a museum. Many of the former cave residents have been moved on to council housing where they often struggle to pay for the utilities which previously they didn't not have to pay. The last few cave dwellers are being given incentives to move out. Soon, for the first time in hundreds of years Hungary's cave village will be eerily quiet.
